Getting a Digital Camera working under Linux

My daughter bought a simple Toy Digital Camera. Unfortunately, it doesn't register itself as a universal mass storage device to the OS. The 'lsusb' command returns
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 2770:905c NHJ, Ltd Che-Ez Snap SNAP-U/Digigr8/Soundstar TDC-35
Luckily, retrieving the photos from the camera is very easy. Install the gtkam GUI:
sudo apt-get install gtkam
And start the program from Applications / Graphics / Gtkam. In the Camera / Add camera ... menu, you can press "detect" to register your camera. The application is self-explaining for downloading / deleting the photos.
